#261 Decking the Halls
Comic for December 14, 2022
This is the first comic to introduce any kind of Draco Dragon holiday lore; unfortunately I don’t have the panels to get into the whole story of the meaning of their holiday, but I can share that it’s officially known as Draco’s Feast, The Festival of Stars, or Ascension Day. It’s to celebrate the day that Draco was ascended into the heavens to become a constellation.
The dragons also call it by its shortened name, Drakemas, also known as the creator’s way of easily explaining that this is a festive dragon holiday, haha.
Ion of course LOVES Drakemas, much to the chagrin of his crewmates!

…and Ion hasn’t even gotten to his inflatable decorations, yet.
He’s saving those for the bridge!
I know you’ve said these comics won’t be long arcs, but maybe you could do mini arcs that are 2-4 strips long (that is, unless all of the strips aren’t already drawn).
The next comic on Dec 21 will be the second of 2; other than that I won’t get to longer arcs this time around. I’m going to stop the comic again and then bring it back for GD Volume 2; there I will have longer arcs!
And yes, many were drawn in advance!
Not one year went by when my C.O. would come down to my squadron and give us at least an hour long “chew out” session because someone would wear a Santa hat while in uniform. NOT. ONE. FREAKIN’. YEAR. There will always be that one person.
Lol! Looks like your C.O. wasn’t a festive person either! I admire the brave soldiers that would defy him every year by wearing a Santa Hat!
