#233 Jerky Jerk
Comic for October 28, 2020
I had a lot of fun with this one! It’s high time to move beyond the serious tones and add some humor back to the strip (as it’s really supposed to be a gag comic!)
T-Bone is going to give himself a stomachache if he gorges any more of that jerky, but honestly he’ll find it worth it! Count on Aurora to always be prepared; she wasn’t going to let any survivors have to eat nothing but vegetables for weeks. But she had to hide it, or the crew would have polished it off!
And speaking of gorging, don’t give yourself a stomachache on all that Halloween candy! I hope you all have a great Halloween! I still plan on passing out candy; I’ll still wear a mask and use gloves to handle the treats. With Halloween being on a Saturday this year, I think we’ll still get a lot of kids.
**The next comic will be another SUNDAY comic! That means 8 panels and full color, so I’ll need some extra time. AND I have some commissions I’m working on, so I’m planning on November 18 on being back. IF I get done earlier, I’ll post the 11th, but I can’t make any promises.
Are you sure letting T-bone and the rest of the crew know about cargo bay 8 is good idea? T-bone looks like he polished off about 5 pounds of jerky in panel 4!
Looking forward to the color SUNDAY comic (but not the wait).
Probably not the best idea, but the cat was out of the bag! 🙂
Sorry about the wait, friend! Thanks for your patience! 🙂
Bad T-Bone!!!! It’s the engineer who is suppose to know where all the hidey holes on the ship are…. oh, wait. It’s T-Bone.
The funny thing is that I never really considered T-Bone an engineer (even though he technically is); he’s more of a mechanic who never had any formal training but seems to *usually* get things fixed. 🙂
Thanks Grouchie!
Wow, T-Bone’s hat flew off! I thought for sure his shoes would fly off too!
Also, I can’t think of a better response for T-Bone in the last panel; and I’m pretty sure that for the next 50 or so strips there will consistently be a piece of jerky in either his hand or his mouth!
Aw, I wish I had read your comment before I finished the next comic, that is a great idea, haha! How hilarious if he always had a strip of jerky in his hand for the next few comics?
Thanks, Casanova! 🙂
You’re welcome, Dana, and don’t feel bad. I took too long to post that comment. ??
