I apologize as I once again must take a short break from Galactic Dragons. I have been hired to do some freelance work, so paid freelance work that has a deadline trumps comic that I create for free!

But it still doesn’t mean that it doesn’t bother me that I have to take a break, especially with a comic that only updates once a week. But the time that I have to work on my art every week is limited, so unfortunately I have to make these decisions.

The good news though is that once my life has settled down soon, I’ll have more time to devote to my art and GD. I also plan on finally getting up a Patreon page, something I’ve been wanting to do for some time!

My Bubblefox Guest Comic

Here is my latest guest comic for my pal Jon Esparza’s comic, Bubblefox!
Even when I try to draw in a more realistic fashion, my characters still tend to have that “cartoony” look. Not complaining tho, that’s just my style!
Bubblefox isn’t quite like other foxes! And what other fox has an adopted dragon hatchling as a son? 🙂

Molly

A new character has appeared in the Galactic Dragons universe!
Well, there’s going to be a lot of new faces now that the crew has found the lost colonists, however Molly will take the center role in this new arc.
Molly’s character is based off of the comic character “Molly Beans”, by Dan Sacharow, which can be found at http://www.MollyBeans.com

Molly’s character came to be as I was trying to figure out a way to thank Dan for the YouTube comic review he did for Galactic Dragons in 2017, which can be found HERE.
I was blown away by what an amazing review he gave, and I still blush at all of his kind words.
I told him I’d love to create some fan art of Molly Beans as a thank you, but I’m not that great at drawing humans. Dan responded,
“Well, how about drawing Molly as a dragon?”

And then it occurred to me: why not make Molly a guest character in the comic? I needed a female role for the engineer who was to be the unofficial leader of the imprisoned colonists.  What better choice than Molly Beans, who is a brilliant engineer, strong, determined, and not afraid to speak her mind?
Plus she’s cute as a button with awesome hair! I couldn’t think of a better role model than Molly Beans, and she’s lots of fun to draw as a dragon!
I considered making her a flesh-toned color but it looked a little weird, lol!

Thank you again, Dan, I hope you like dragon Molly! 🙂

Ann Arbor Comic Arts Festival 2018!

If you are in the Ann Arbor, MI area on June 16 and 17th, stop by the Ann Arbor library for the Ann Arbor Comic Arts Festival! I will be at table 32, stop by and say hi! This will be my second time tabling there in Artist Alley. Last year I met a lot of really nice and very talented people, it was such a great time! There will be attractions all around downtown Ann Arbor! This is a family friendly event and there’s a lot to do! For more info, click the link HERE!
The Artist Alley runs from 12pm-6:00pm on Sat and 12:30pm-5:30pm on Sun!
