There was a time I could not live without coffee; don’t even talk to me before I had my big cup of joe! But now I’m more of an Ion; I drink decaf (I know, I know).
But as I went through various stages of anxiety in my life, I had to ask myself why I was drinking a pot of coffee every day as I sat there shaking from nerves, lol. So I bid farewell to caffeine, and I enjoy my decaf coffee or herbal tea in the morning. But DO NOT do that to a dragon!

Hello Dana. Happy holidays and new year! I hope 2023 is a good year for you. I got a copy of your book for Christmas and it’s a fun read. I’m glad to see that your comic is updating again.
I should mention, there’s a typo in the first panel. Ion says “all the of that coffee”

I just don’t drink coffee, period. Can’t stand the taste and I’ve tried all different kinds, sugar, black, milk, milk and sugar, nothing removes the bitterness. When I need a caffeine boost, I just get an energy drink.
I love the taste of coffee but quit a couple of years ago; the caffeine was definitely not helping my already existing anxiety! Right now I’m drinking an herbal coffee that still tastes great with zero caffeine. Also with the added almond milk and stevia! 🙂
Also I think either you or Ion needs coffee. Read the first panel, carefully.

I switched to decaf myself once I realized how anxious I was after drinking 4 cups of coffee, lol! Thanks Howard! 🙂

It definitely makes sense that Ion sees the animosity between Aurora and T-Bone and figures it applies to everyone. Ion had better make sure that they don’t find out that he switched the coffee! 🤣

Yes, I did draw the Zs in the last panel; sometimes I’ll choose a font but it felt right to draw them myself this time. Thanks for noticing!
Also, Ion’s observation isn’t too far off, dragons are pretty cranky until they get their coffee! 🙂
