#216 The Proof is in the Pudding
Mar25
Comic for March 25, 2020
We’re back to the arc! I had thought about doing another gag comic, but as I only get one of these out a week, I felt it’s best to just keep moving forward (even though things are going to get a little blue).
So it looks like Thew’s assumptions were correct, and the other Lycadians were not aware that Maxton was found, let alone alive. And Molly’s about to set the record straight (maybe a little too eager, considering the look of surprise on Thew’s face as she pushes him back to confront Pontifex). 🙂
Seriously. How come only some of these Lycadians didn’t know about the coup?
Good question! I feel it’s the same thing with almost any corporation or government, personally, that there are things happening at the top that are covered up or kept secret. Pontifex certainly doesn’t want the rest of his people to know that when the colonists agreed to help them, it went further than they knew. Only a select few know of the dark turn that it all took.
Off Hand, I’d say Pontifex if up a creek without a paddle!
Hi Archae! Sorry you were having some problems posting, must have been a glitch! I myself didn’t remove any posts.
And with regards to your comment, yes, Pontifex is in a bit of a pickle right now! 🙂
Why are my posts getting deleted?
Thanks for putting them back in.
Gotta ask two questions at this point: How much whisky has the patient gone through at this point? Can he pass it over?
Haha! I’ll ask Ion if he can provide you with your own cup! 🙂
Sure, Maxton will tell them… if T-Bone, Ion, and Az haven’t taken him out already! ??
I truly love Pontifex’s face in the last panel. His mind’s clearly saying something worse than “Oh crap!” since he just might lose everything.
Thanks, Casanova! I did spend some time trying to draw Pontifex’s face to reflect what he was feeling at the moment. Initially I had him being a bit outraged, but then felt he would more likely be trying to cover his shock (can’t let the others know that he knew anything about all this!) 🙂
